CM Edapadi K Palanismay arrives in city airport to take part in Bharat Ratna MGR Centenary celebrations being organized at Palladam


Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palanismay was accorded a warm reception at the city airport. The Chief Minister who is in the city today to take part in the Bharat Ratna MGR Centenary celebrations being organized at Palladam in the district.



S.P.Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration, T.N.Hariharan District Collector and CCMC Commissioner, Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan greeted the Chief Minister by presenting floral bouquets.

Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palanismay would unveil the portraits of Dr. MGR diring the centenary celebrations at Palladam and distribute welfare measures to the tune of Rs.220 crores to over 21000 beneficiaries under various Government schemes. P.Dhanapal, TN Assembly speaker would preside over the function and Thambidurai, Loksabha Deputy Speaker would deliver the special address. Cultural and music programmes on MGR would be organized on the occasion.

The Tiruppur district administration has organized various competitions school and college children on the occasion commemorating the memory of MGR, the founder - leader of AIADMK.

The Government has organized the MGR Centenary celebrations at Madurai on June 30 and an advisory has been issued to celebrate the MGR Centenary celebrations in all the districts in Tamilnadu.
