The City Corporation has conducted anti-dengue campaigns and screened awareness films in tie up with Residential welfare associate of various communities cutting across five zones.
The awareness campaigns were held in Aiyaapa seva kalyamandapam, Ammani Ammal School, and zonal offices in East and North zones and at GT Institutions in Avinashi road. City Welfare officer Dr.K.Santhosh Kumar explained the details to the residents who watched the films.
The need to prevent mosquito breeding to prevent outbreak of dengue was stressed. Preventive measures such as mixing of abate solution to prevent larval growth, distribution of Neela vembu decoction, and destroying of potential breeding sites be carried out by domestic breeding checkers stressed during the campaign.
