The movement of leopard near human habitations has struck panic among residents of Valparai town.
The said leopard, which enters human habitation has killed a goat near the house of one Maniratnam near Valparai market area. The leopard left its prey after Manikantan raised a hue and cry and escaped through a nearby estate.
Appealing to the forest department officials to take timely action and trap the leopard which enters human habitations quite often, the denizens of Valparai who are facing human - animal conflict ever day said that the department should remove the leopard from the area and translocate it before it attacks humans.
