Four men arrested for poaching hare


Officials from the Bolampatti Range of the Coimbatore Forest Department have arrested four poachers who were attempting to poach Wild Hares near Maruthamalai here on Tuesday.

 According to officials, they had found four men roaming in the areas and on enquiry they were identified as Kittusamy, Suresh, Manikkam and Siva Thalapathy from Perur.

The men had confessed to have roamed the area in search of wild hares and equipment including snares was confiscated from them. The men were later let to leave by department personnel after paying a fine of Rs. 5000 each.
