The Bolampatti Range of the Coimbatore Forest Division has ordered a closure of the Kovai Kuttralam due to heavy flash floods in the stream leading to the falls here on Wednesday.
The announcement had come after heavy showers poured over the Tamil Nadu – Kerala Interstate border for the past few days where the stream starts.
With the Meteorology Department predicting rain in the coming days, the closure order is possibly to extend for another day. It may be noted that the area was closed for public in the beginning of July because of floods.
