Lauding Vice Presidential candidate Venkaiah Naidu , as one who charmed every one by his speeches while he was in the opposition benches Dr, Krishnasamy, President of Puthiya Tamilagam said that the leader hails from an agricultural family and he knew the peoples day to days problems and with 40 years of expeirence in public life he is the right candidate for the Vice president's position.
Briefing the media, Dr. Krishnasamy said that he wishes victory for the seasoned politician and added that so far nonpolitical candidates have only occupied the position of Vice President. But it is good for the country that a seasoned politician has been nominated for the role.
As he is a South Indian, with over 40 years of expeirence in public life, all political parties should his support to ensure his victory he said.
While talking about scarcity of river sand he said that the construction sector has been highly affected and the middle classes are not able to get sand for construction. The government should streamline the process for easy availability of sand for the middle classes.
Even though the gauge conversion works have been completed the train operations to Southern districts including Madurai is not reintroduced, which is affecting the common man, Krishnasamy said.
