The students of St. Joseph’s school, Coonoor conducted an environmental awareness campaign in the town, in which street plays were conducted to drive home the importance of keeping the environment clean from.all forms of pollution and to protect the green cover.
The students through their street plays garnered the public's attention. Stressing on the importance of nature especially trees, the students portrayed through their expressions the paramount importance of conserving the nature and the five elements of nature. "It's just not the human beings but destruction of nature would affect the animals and other beings, as we all share this world", the students reminded gently to the audience.
The initiative by the students to convey alarming and much needed environmental based message was well appreciated by the public.
