Demanding the take over of the deaf and dumb school for the differently-abled in Kothapalayam by the Government, the Differently Abled Peoples Association members petitioned to the District Collector TN Hariharan, here today.
The petitioners alleged that "Murugasamy, the Trustee of the school has been arrested for sexually abusing the inmates hence it's better if the government takes control of the school".
Punitha, the Secretary of the Coimbatore chapter of the diffrently-abled association said that the Government should come forward to extend welfare measures to all those who have 40% disability rate and also help them by issuing ID cards without any delays or hassles.
