The Goods and Service Tax (GST) is lauded as India’s biggest tax reform and the single biggest economic reform since 1991. In the midst of the nation-wide hype, Dairy Day Ice Cream (brand of Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd.) has decided to celebrate the GST (tax) arrival by making its own version of GST.
Dairy Day Ice Creams, a leading brand in South India, has launched the GST flavors – Guava, Strawberry and Tamarind, capturing the “kuch meetha, kuch khatta” feelings around the Goods and Service Tax. The GST flavors will be available in Coimbatore from July 1 and across Tamil Nadu within 2 weeks. The brand is planning to sell 1 million GST candies within a short period of time.
The new Dairy Day Guava, Strawberry and Tamarind flavors come as Fruit Candies which are made from real fruit pulp and concentrate. The Guava Candy feels exactly like biting into a fresh and ripe pink guava. The strawberry candy is rich in real strawberry pulp, so that you can enjoy this seasonal fruit all year round. The tamarind candy is irresistibly yummy, chatpata and tangy which will recreate childhood memories for many. Guava and Tamarind fruit candies are priced at Rs. 15 per piece, Strawberry fruit candy at Rs. 10 per piece.
This is a small gesture from Dairy Day to welcome the biggest tax reform. It has also decided to reserve Rs. 1 for every 2 GST series fruit candies sold for girl child’s education.
In Coimbatore the GST flavors are available in Ananda Bakery (Rathnapuri), Balaji Iyengar Bakery (Navavoor Pirivu), Lifestyle Fancy (Pothanur), Bismi Store – Abu & Sons (Ukkadam) and other leading stores. Dairy Day has a production capacity of 1.2 lakh liters per day. It has established a wide market base with a network of more than 25000 retailers covering most of metros, tier I and tier II towns in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
