School boy washed away in flash floods in Koolangal River in Valparai

Normal life in Valparai is thrown out of gear due to heavy down pour in the hilly terrains of the town. A school boy who took bath in Koolangal River in Valparai is said to be missing and washed in the flash floods in the river.



Fire and Rescue services are searching for the missing boy, even as the river is flooded by incessant rains in catchment area of Valparai and surrounding areas. All the jungle streams are flooded in the town and surrounding areas.



A local holiday was declared for schools due to incessant rains lashing Valparai and surrounding regions said District collector T.N.Hariharan.
