Farmers throng Collectorate with pottery filled with fertile soil, petition collector

Urging the district administration to extend them with permission to mine fertile soil from ponds and water bodies, the farmers, who thronged the Collectorate with pottery petitioned the Collector to accord permission to mine fertile soil in all the pond sin the district.



Carrying pottery filled with fertile soil, the farmers said while the government has accorded permission to mine fertile soil in PWD, and Panchayats controlled water bodies, but it has not done so for other ponds. "As farmer have started farming operations after the rains the district administration should extend permission to mine soil from all ponds controlled by HR& CE and other authorities" the farmers said.
