Terapanth Mahila Mandal is a non-profit organization working towards providing solution for social challenges. The organization has been continuously putting effort to bring about change in society by various initiatives like Swasth Parivar Swasth Samaj, Kaniya Surakasha Yojana, Medical camps. Rural villages, sponsoring education to underprivileged children.
This year TMM hosted a life style expo Shree Utsav to raise funds for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
SREE UTSAV 2017 is being held for three day from June 9-11 at Terapanth Jain Baan, AKS Nagar, and Coimbatore. The exhibition was inaugurated by BJP General Secretary - Tamil Nadu Mrs. Vanathi Srinivasan. The proceedings of the exhibition will be used for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
In the exhibitions over 55 stalls with various lifestyle products like accessories, footwear, clothings, baby products, eco green products and much more are exhibited. One stall in the expo has been provided free of cost to the transgender(s) to promote Trans Employment Program & Trans Equality.
Monica Lumia Secretary of TMM while speaking to Simplicity regarding the expo shared that " We have been doing various social welfare projects from TMM. We are organizing this kind of expo for the first time. We aimed at providing platform for women entrepreneurs and also raise some funds towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The proceedings made from the exhibition will be used in construction of toilets in Veerakerelam, Coimbatore, where we have already constructed public toilets in the past. We have entrepreneurs from various places in Kongu region. We hope this expo enable us to raise enough fund for completing the construction works."
The exhibition will be open from 9 am to 9 pm at Terapanth Bhavan, AKS Nagar, Gandhi park Coimbatore.
