To mark the World Hunger Day, the Food Bank, Coimbatore organized a signature campaign at the Brookefields Mall, which drew overwhelming response from members of the public.

Vaishnavi Balaji, Founder of Food Bank, Coimbatore told SimpliCity, that "The signature campaign is unique, as we have made the people to sign on a deed asking them not to waste food in their lives. The signatories are also given the deed and they carried it home, so that the commitment would last long. So far the response has been immense and we have collected over 200 signatures. As a continuation of the same, our team has planned to conduct a mass food drive, tomorrow, on Sunday combined at the VOC Grounds to create awareness on no food wastage and serving the needy. A special awareness programme for the kids has also been organised".

The mime show presentation organized by PDC group garnered the attention of the audience widely as they dramatically explained 'not to waste food' and how important it is to serve the needy.
