Passengers travelling on the Tiruchchirappalli–Erode Passenger, Erode–Sengottai Express, Erode–Tiruchchirappalli Passenger, Tiruchchirappalli–Palakkad Town Express and Sengottai–Erode Express have been advised to check revised schedules, as Southern Railway has announced temporary changes on July 7.
Coimbatore: Southern Railway has announced temporary changes to multiple train services, including trains operating to and from Coimbatore, on July 7 owing to track renewal and maintenance works at Karur Railway Yard. The changes include short termination of services, changes in originating stations and the operation of a special train.
According to the notification, Train No. 56809 Tiruchchirappalli–Erode Passenger, scheduled to depart Tiruchchirappalli Junction at 7.25 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction and will remain partially cancelled between Karur and Erode.
Train No. 16845 Erode–Sengottai Express, originally scheduled to depart Erode Junction at 2 p.m., will instead originate from Karur Junction at 3.05 p.m. The service between Erode and Karur will remain cancelled for the day.

Similarly, Train No. 56106 Erode–Tiruchchirappalli Passenger will be short-terminated at Murthipalayam Railway Station and will not operate between Murthipalayam and Tiruchchirappalli Junction.
Train No. 16843 Tiruchchirappalli–Palakkad Town Express will originate from Karur Junction at 2.20 p.m. instead of Tiruchchirappalli Junction and will operate up to Palakkad Town. The service between Tiruchchirappalli and Karur will remain cancelled.
Meanwhile, Train No. 16846 Sengottai–Erode Express will be short-terminated at Karur Railway Station. After the completion of the maintenance works, an unreserved special train will be operated from Karur to Erode, following the same stoppages as the regular service.
