Kandhasamy arrived at the Tahsildar office in a procession, surrounded by enthusiastic party workers and alliance party leaders. Senior leaders including Thoppu Asokan and Kanakasabapathy were present during the nomination filing event, demonstrating the party's unity and support for their candidate.

Speaking to supporters after filing his papers, Kanthasamy appealed to the electorate to give him another opportunity to serve the constituency.
