Tourist Vehicle from Kerala Meets with Accident Near Aliyar, Passengers Escape Unharmed

A tourist vehicle from Kerala carrying 13 passengers, including children, met with an accident near Aliyar reservoir. Fortunately, all passengers escaped without serious injuries.



Coimbatore: In a fortunate turn of events, a group of tourists from Kerala escaped unharmed after their vehicle met with an accident near the Aliyar reservoir in Pollachi. The incident occurred on the stretch between Aliyar and Kondai Oosi bend, a popular route for tourists visiting the Anamalai Tiger Reserve.

The group of 13 tourists, including children, hailed from Ottapalam in Palakkad district, Kerala. They had visited various tourist spots in and around Pollachi, including Aliyar and Valparai. The accident took place as they were returning to Kerala via the Pollachi road from Valparai.



According to reports, the vehicle experienced a mechanical failure while navigating the winding road. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to swerve and overturn on the side of the road. However, due to the quick thinking and skillful maneuvering of the driver, a major tragedy was averted.



Despite the severity of the accident, all passengers, including the children, miraculously escaped without any serious injuries. The incident has highlighted the importance of vehicle maintenance and careful driving, especially on hilly terrains frequented by tourist vehicles.

Local authorities have responded to the scene and are investigating the cause of the accident. This incident serves as a reminder for tourists and tour operators to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on trips to hilly areas.
