As Mothers day special, Red Hands Event Management Company has organized a mini marathon to promote women empowerment
Scheduled on May 14 ( Mothers day) the marathon is aimed at raising awareness on crimes against women and getting rid of gender bias and equal opportunity for women.
Jaya Mahesh Mrs. India Title Winner would flag off the mini marathon from the Nehru stadium. So far 300 participants have registered for the forthcoming event and the marathon would cover a distance of 5 km.
Divya Srinivasan of Red Hands Event Management, speaking to SimpliCity said that “the unique thing about this marathon is that nearly 60 people from the transgender community will be participating in the event. Actually the transwomen and transgender were all that eager to participate. As a mark of goodwill, we have decided to waive the registration fee for them “
