Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted field visits in Ward 40 on September 24, inspecting new pathway construction, bus shelter plans, and recovery of public spaces.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS conducted a series of inspections in Ward 40 of the West Zone on September 24, focusing on various civic development projects.

The Commissioner first visited the Veera Keralam and Pongaliyur areas to assess the feasibility of constructing a new pathway. He examined the proposed route and discussed potential plans with accompanying officials.

In Veera Keralam and Chettipalayam areas, Prabhakaran inspected an unused overhead water tank. The visit aimed to explore the possibility of removing the defunct tank and replacing it with a new passenger shelter. This initiative seeks to repurpose the space for public benefit.

The Commissioner then proceeded to Thirumurugan Nagar and NG Colony to address the issue of recovering corporation-owned public spaces. These areas, part of a residential layout, have designated spaces for public use that need to be reclaimed and properly utilized.

Throughout the inspections, Prabakaran was accompanied by a team of corporation officials. The team included West Zone Chairperson Mrs. Deivayani Tamilmarai, Assistant Commissioner Mr. T.S. Duraimurugan, Assistant Engineer Mrs. Savitha, Assistant Town Planner Mrs. Kanthimathi, Zonal Health Officer Mr. Veeran, Assistant Engineer Mrs. Vimala, and Sanitary Inspector Mr. Rajendran.

These field visits underscore the Coimbatore Corporation's commitment to improving public infrastructure and ensuring proper utilization of civic spaces in Ward 40. The initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for residents in these areas.
