AIADMK Councilors Submit Petition to Commissioner Amudha for Regulating Advertisement Banners in Mettupalayam

AIADMK councilors led by Mohamed Saleem met Commissioner Amudha at Mettupalayam Municipality office on September 23, submitting a petition to regulate political advertisement banners on municipal properties.

Coimbatore: AIADMK councilors, led by Mohamed Saleem, met with Commissioner Amudha at the Mettupalayam Municipality office on Saturday (Sep. 23) to submit a petition regarding the regulation of political advertisement banners.

The petition urged the establishment of proper guidelines for placing party advertisement banners on municipal properties and buildings. The councilors emphasized the need for a formal permission process and a defined time frame for displaying such banners.

Several other municipal council members accompanied the AIADMK delegation during the meeting with Commissioner Amudha. The move comes as part of efforts to streamline the use of public spaces for political advertisements and ensure fair practices among all political parties in the region.

The AIADMK councilors' initiative highlights the growing concern over the unregulated display of political banners and posters in public areas. By seeking formal guidelines, they aim to create a more organized and equitable system for political advertising within the municipality's jurisdiction.
