Deadline Extended for Regularization of Unauthorized Educational Buildings in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Administration extends deadline for regularizing unauthorized educational buildings constructed before January 1, 2011, to January 31, 2025. Online applications accepted.

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Administration has announced an extension for the regularization of unauthorized educational buildings in the city. This decision, communicated through a press release on September 18, provides a six-month window for institutions to comply with regulations.

The scheme applies to educational buildings constructed and operational before January 1, 2011, without proper authorization. As per the government order, the application period for regularization has been extended from August 1, 2023, to January 31, 2025. This extension offers another opportunity for educational institutions to bring their buildings into compliance with local regulations.

The District Administration has emphasized that interested parties can submit their applications through the official online portal. This digital approach aims to streamline the process and make it more accessible to educational institutions across the district.

This extension is part of the government's efforts to address the issue of unauthorized constructions while providing a pathway for educational institutions to continue their operations legally. It reflects a balance between enforcing building regulations and recognizing the practical needs of existing educational facilities in Coimbatore.
