Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's 44th Convocation Ceremony to be Held on September 9 in Coimbatore

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's 44th convocation ceremony will be held on September 9, 2024, with Governor R.N. Ravi presiding. 9,526 students to receive degrees across various programs.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore has announced that its 44th convocation ceremony will take place on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the university's convocation hall.

The event will be presided over by the Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu and Chancellor of TNAU, R.N. Ravi. Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Pro-Chancellor of TNAU, M.R.K. Panneerselvam, will announce the endowment prizes and medals.

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Chairman of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Authority, Government of India, New Delhi, and former Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, will be the chief guest and deliver the convocation address.

A total of 9,526 students will receive degrees during this convocation ceremony. This includes undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. Among them, 3,415 students will receive their degrees in person, while 6,111 students from affiliated and constituent colleges will receive their degrees in absentia.

The convocation ceremony marks a significant milestone for TNAU and its graduating students, celebrating their academic achievements and preparing them for their future careers in agriculture and related fields.
