Coimbatore: The 'DreamTN' movement launched its inaugural 'Arasiyal Arivu' training program today in Coimbatore. The event, held at a private hotel on Masakalipalayam Road in the Singanallur constituency, focused on the theme of "Local Government".
Suresh Sambandam, the coordinator of the 'DreamTN' movement, attended as a special guest. The pilot workshop provided detailed explanations about the structure and functions of local government bodies, including Panchayats, Town Panchayats, Municipalities, and Municipal Corporations, through video presentations.
The session concluded with a question and answer segment.
Speaking at the event, Suresh Sambandam said, "To transform Tamil Nadu's economy into a trillion-dollar economy, we need to develop several sub-structures. One such structure is to guide politically aware youth towards politics. Our goal is to bring political knowledge to the youth, with the aim that these young people will enact laws in the legislative assembly and parliament that will take Tamil Nadu's economy and the progress of Tamil people to the next level."
He further explained, "This is a political training organization. We plan to create ten chapters per constituency, with 50 people per chapter. By creating 500 politically aware youth in each constituency, they will, in turn, spread this knowledge to others."
The pilot workshop of the Political Knowledge organization was attended by more than 30 participants. The next workshop, titled 'Legislature', is scheduled for September 21 in the Singanallur zone.
