Coimbatore School Students Recreate Chandrayaan-3 Moon Landing in Exhibition

Students at Suguna Rip V School in Coimbatore amazed visitors with a realistic model of Chandrayaan-3's moon landing during an exhibition, showcasing India's space achievement.

Coimbatore: In a remarkable display of creativity and scientific enthusiasm, students at Suguna Rip V School in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore, recreated the historic Chandrayaan-3 moon landing during an exhibition called 'Avinaya'. The event, which took place recently, celebrated India's groundbreaking achievement in space exploration.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully landed the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the moon's south pole last year, making India the first country to achieve this feat. The mission, equipped with artificial intelligence technology, marked a significant milestone in India's space program.

At the exhibition, students meticulously designed and presented models of the rocket, lander, and rover. The highlight of the event was a lifelike recreation of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft's gentle descent onto the lunar surface, followed by the slow emergence of the rover. Visitors, including students and parents, expressed amazement at the display, stating that it felt like witnessing the actual landing.

The exhibition featured 165 different stalls covering a wide range of topics. These included motor pump designs, gram sabha and court proceedings, ancient Tamil art and culture, the importance of English language and drama, medical science, botany, chemistry, sports, yoga, and mathematical puzzles. Each stall provided practical demonstrations, offering an interactive learning experience for attendees.

Other notable exhibits included a solar-powered car designed by the students, showcasing their innovative thinking and commitment to sustainable technology. The event not only celebrated India's space achievements but also provided a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and creativity across various fields of study.

The 'Avinaya' exhibition at Suguna Rip V School served as an inspiring example of how educational institutions can foster scientific curiosity and national pride among young learners, while also encouraging hands-on learning experiences.
