Coimbatore: The Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme was implemented today at the SRM Mandapam in Elayamuthur Panchayat near Udumalaipettai, Tiruppur district. The camp was inaugurated by Pollachi MP K. Eswaran, Udumalaipettai Union Committee Chairperson Mahalakshmi Murugan, Union Secretaries S.K. Meignanamoorthy and Senthilkumar, and Udumalaipettai Tahsildar Sundaram.
Following the inauguration, residents from Thumbalapatti, Kallapuram, Elayamuthur, and Kuruvappa Nayakkanur panchayats were provided with application forms by the Revenue Department. The public filled out the applications and uploaded them through the online portal. Officials then reviewed the nature of the petitions and directed the applicants to the appropriate department stalls set up at the venue.

The event saw participation from various local officials and public representatives. Panchayat Presidents Marimuthu, Muthulakshmi Palanisamy, and Kaliyammal were present, along with Ward Member Babu. Tahsildars Vivekanandan and Karthikeyan, Block Development Officers Beulah Epsi Boy and Subramaniam, and other department officials attended the camp. Deputy Panchayat Presidents Santhoshkumar, Sheikh Fareed, and Ramakrishnan, as well as Union Committee members and the general public, were also in attendance.
