Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin virtually inaugurated a library and knowledge center in Udumalaipet, Tiruppur district, on Wednesday. The facility, valued at Rs. 191 lakh, is located within the premises of the Municipal Primary School in UKC Nagar, Ward 13 of Udumalaipet Municipality.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by various local officials and residents, including the Municipal Chairperson, former Municipal Chairperson and 33rd Ward Member Velusamy, Municipal Commissioner Balamurugan, Deputy Chairperson, and other council members.
The newly inaugurated knowledge center is equipped with a diverse collection of resources, including daily newspapers, children's books, and study materials for competitive exams. The municipal administration has encouraged everyone to make use of these facilities.
Following the inauguration, school students were seen actively engaging with the books at the knowledge center, demonstrating the immediate impact of this new educational resource in the community.
