Sri Ramakrishna Hospital hosts CME conference focused on cardiac diagnostics

Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in Coimbatore hosted ECHO ESSENTIALS 2026, a cardiology conference with expert sessions, live demonstrations and participation from over 280 students, doctors and professionals.

Coimbatore:

Sri Ramakrishna Hospital Institute of Allied Health Sciences, in association with the Department of Cardiology, conducted a two-day conference titled “ECHO ESSENTIALS 2026” in Coimbatore.

The conference was inaugurated on April 25 with the traditional lighting of the lamp in the presence of key dignitaries including C.V. Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. S. Rajagopal, Medical Director, and Dr. S. Alagappan, Medical Superintendent. Representatives from the Indian Medical Association (IMA), including Dr. B. Kosalram and Dr. D. Parameswaran, also participated.

Dr. P. Sathya, Principal and Organising Secretary, welcomed the gathering, while Dr. R. Vickram Vignesh, Interventional Cardiologist and Organising Chairperson, introduced the theme of the conference. Dr. S. Manoharan, Head of the Department of Cardiology, delivered the keynote address.

Speakers highlighted the importance of continuous medical education and advancements in echocardiography. The sessions featured lectures by cardiology experts covering various aspects of cardiac imaging and diagnostics.

The conference also included live demonstration sessions on echocardiography and quiz competitions as part of its academic activities.

More than 280 participants, including students, medical professionals and practicing doctors, attended the conference and benefited from the sessions.
