Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South constituency, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic landslide in Kerala's Wayanad district that claimed over 40 lives. In a heartfelt statement posted on her Facebook page on July 30, the legislator conveyed her condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the disaster.

"I am deeply saddened to learn about the landslide in Wayanad district of Kerala, which has resulted in the loss of more than 40 lives. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I also pray to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of those who have been injured in this tragedy," Vanathi Srinivasan stated.

The MLA further announced that the BJP Tamil Nadu has formed a committee ready to assist in the rescue operations and provide necessary relief to the people affected by the landslide in Wayanad. This gesture underscores the party's commitment to supporting disaster-stricken communities across state boundaries.
