Coimbatore TASMAC Employee Wins 3 Gold Medals in National Powerlifting Competition

Eswaran, a TASMAC salesman from Coimbatore, clinched three gold medals and the 'Strong Man' title at a national powerlifting competition in Rajasthan, showcasing exceptional strength across multiple categories.


Coimbatore: In a remarkable display of strength and determination, Eswaran, a TASMAC salesman from Eachanari, Coimbatore, has brought glory to Tamil Nadu by winning three gold medals at a national powerlifting competition held in Rajasthan. The impressive feat has not only earned him accolades but also the coveted 'Strong Man' title.

Eswaran, who has been passionate about sports and dedicated to powerlifting training, represented Tamil Nadu in the national-level competition. He participated in three categories and secured the top position in all of them, bagging three gold medals in the process.



In the Master's category, Eswaran successfully lifted a staggering 455 kg. He further demonstrated his prowess by lifting 105 kg in the Bench Press category and 200 kg in the Dead Lift category. His exceptional performance across all three divisions earned him the prestigious 'Strong Man' title.

Despite facing challenges in his personal and professional life, Eswaran has been consistently participating in various competitions with the support of his friends. He expressed that with proper government and volunteer support, he could achieve even greater heights in the sport.



Currently, Eswaran is preparing himself for international-level competitions, balancing his training with work and family responsibilities. His achievement at the national level, despite numerous constraints, serves as an inspiration to many aspiring athletes in the region.
