Coimbatore: Arokiya John, the DMK North District Minority Wing Leader in Coimbatore, provided annadanam (free food) to 1000 devotees at the Sri Pattatharasi Amman Temple in Kovilpalayam, 6th ward of S.S. Kulam Union. This charitable act marked the conclusion of an 8-day festival at the temple.

John had been offering dinner for the past eight days during the festival. On the final day, he extended his generosity by providing lunch to 1000 people. Speaking about the initiative, John said, "We are offering annadanam in 40 temples, especially in areas where underprivileged people reside. This is in line with the social justice path laid out by Periyar, Arignar Anna, and Dr. Kalaignar, who taught us to love humanity beyond religious boundaries."
The DMK leader also expressed his wishes for the long life and continued success of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who led the party to victory in all 40 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu. He added, "We are praying for the good health and long life of Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, the DMK Youth Wing Secretary, who campaigned tirelessly in all constituencies for the party's 40/40 victory in Tamil Nadu."
The event was attended by former MP Nagaraj, S.S. Kulam Union Council Chairman Subbaian, Councilor Velumani Moorthy, Ward 5 Deputy Secretary Sundararaj, and other party executives along with local residents. The annadanam program serves as a testament to the DMK's commitment to social welfare and community service in Coimbatore.
