Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran Inspects Pillur III Water Supply Project in Coimbatore

IAS Officer Sivaguru Prabakaran conducted an on-site inspection of the Pillur III water supply project in western Coimbatore, ensuring improvements for local water distribution.


Coimbatore: Commissioner of the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS, visited the western regions of Coimbatore today to conduct a field inspection of the ongoing Pillur III water supply project. This visit aims to oversee and expediate the water delivery systems catering to the area under wards such as Marudhamalai Road and Navavoor division.


In his inspection, Commissioner Prabhakaran focused on the key components of the project which promises to enhance the water distribution to the public. The commissioner meticulously reviewed the piping section and the high-capacity overhead water storage tanks designed to bolster the supply to populous sectors.



During the visit, the commissioner engaged with various officials including K.A. Deivayanai Tamilmarai, the regional head, and engineers such as Sandhya, Pattan, Muralidharan, and health inspector Rajendran who play significant roles in the implementation of this critical infrastructure.



Moreover, Prabhakaran interrogated the project's short-term water distribution solutions, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of public water supply. His proactive approach and attention might relieve local residents from common water supply issues.



The visit was well-coordinated and included inputs from assistant engineers Savitha, Rajeswenu Gopal, and Vimala, who are deeply involved in operational details and the project's engineering aspects. This crucial project underlines the administration's commitment to upgrading urban amenities and the living standards of Coimbatore's residents.
