Two Hospitalized After Consuming Alcohol in Manjanaickanur

Yesterday afternoon, seven individuals from Manjanaickanur consumed liquor at a TASMAC shop. Two were hospitalized in Pollachi and Coimbatore after falling ill. Police deny the consumption of illicit liquor.


Coimbatore: In an unfortunate event yesterday, seven people from the Manjanaickanur area consumed alcohol from a TASMAC shop. Shortly after, two of the individuals started to feel severely unwell, prompting an urgent medical response. They initially received first aid at a private hospital in Pollachi before being transferred to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment.

The police, investigating the incident, have stated that there is no evidence suggesting the consumption of illicit liquor by the individuals. They are monitoring the situation and further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the ailment.
