Governor R.N. Ravi Participates in Yoga Event at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on International Yoga Day

Governor R.N. Ravi joined over a thousand students at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore to celebrate International Yoga Day. Demonstrations and discourses on the benefits of Yoga were featured.


Coimbatore: Celebrating International Yoga Day, various yoga events were conducted across multiple locations, aimed at promoting the health benefits associated with Yoga postures.



One such event took place at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on Lawley Road, Coimbatore, on June 21.



Over a thousand students participated in the session, which was graced by the Governor of Tamil Nadu and Chancellor of the University, R.N. Ravi, who partook in the yoga practices himself.



The event included performances and yoga sessions by several yoga schools, including the Isha Yoga Center, highlighting the physical and mental benefits of yoga postures.



During his special address, Governor R.N. Ravi underscored the holistic benefits of yoga for the body, mind, and soul, and recalled the sage Thirumoolar, emphasizing the increasing popularity of yoga in recent years. He noted that more people are enthusiastically learning yoga now more than ever.

The conclusion of the event saw Governor Ravi planting a sapling in the university premises under the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," celebrating the theme of planting trees in one's mother's name. The banner, originally intended to have Hindi script, was instead printed in English, emphasizing its inclusive approach.
