Man Injured in Wild Elephant Attack Near Thondamuthur, Coimbatore

In Thondamuthur near Coimbatore, Rangasamy, 45, was attacked by a wild elephant while visiting the Puliyanthoppu forest area, resulting in injuries.


Coimbatore: In a harrowing incident near Thondamuthur, Coimbatore, a man suffered injuries after a sudden wild elephant attack this evening, around 7:30 PM. The victim, identified as Rangasamy, 45, was visiting the Puliyanthoppu area adjacent to the forest when the elephant unexpectedly charged at him.



Following the attack, forest officials promptly dispatched Rangasamy to the Coimbatore Government Hospital with the help of an 108 ambulance for medical treatment.
