Texfair 2024 to Showcase Global Textile Innovations in Coimbatore

Texfair 2024, organized by SIMA, will be held at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex from June 21-24, featuring 240 exhibitors showcasing the latest in textile machinery, accessories, and services with an expected business of Rs.1500 crores.



Coimbatore: The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), established in the year 1933 by Sir R.K.Shanmukham Chetty, the first Finance Minister of independent India, represents the entire textile value chain in South India. SIMA has been organizing the international textile machinery, accessories and spares exhibitions known as “Texfair” since 2001 for the mutual benefit of the textile machinery, accessories and spares manufacturers & suppliers and user industries by bringing them under one umbrella. Since the Exhibition is being organized by the user industry Association, the response for the exhibition has been overwhelming during the earlier events and all the exhibitors have been able to derive higher value for their participation in this event. Texfair is rated as one of the top international industrial events and almost all the World’s leading textile machinery, accessories, spares and service providers from different countries regularly participate in the fair. Coimbatore being the largest textile manufacturing hub in the global map, all the exhibitors could garner good business.

“TEXFAIR 2024”, a four-day International Textile Machinery, Accessories and Spares Exhibition, the 14th edition in its series, being organized by SIMA, is ready to showcase the innovative developments during June 21-24, 2024 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore 641 014. The visiting hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

In a press meet held today, Dr.S.K.Sundararaman, Chairman, and S.Krishnakumar, Vice-Chairman of SIMA briefed the Press about the Texfair 2024. They informed that 240 exhibitors will be displaying their innovations/ products / services in 260 stalls. They said that the major products that would be displayed at the Fair would include textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipments, electrical and electronic components, humidification plants, air compressors, solar panels, various industry related services, etc. They have further stated that apart from leading textile machinery, spares, accessories manufacturers / suppliers from Tamilnadu, exhibitors from other States/Union Territories of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Dadar Nagar Haveli, West Bengal, Daman & Diu, etc. and participants from different European countries like Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Japan, China, etc. have also been confirmed.

They further said that textile mills on an average spend 2.5 to 3% of their annual sales turnover for spares and accessories and also plough back 4 to 6% of their annual turnover on modernization. They further said that Texfair 2024 would be an ideal platform for these mills to zero in their requirements, meet all the suppliers under one roof and prudently plan their investments, cut costs and improve the quality of the products they manufacture. They added that the purpose of the fair was also to encourage new inventions, which would strengthen import substitution. They further said that the Fair would also give an opportunity for the textile mills to plan their ongoing and future investments. SIMA office-bearers have appealed to all the textile mills and stakeholders to visit the Exhibition and derive maximum benefits.

They have said that around one lakh visitors from all over the country covering Managing Directors / Directors / Executives and shopfloor technicians are likely to visit the Exhibition during the four days. They have further stated that the exhibitors might be able to generate business to the tune of Rs.1500 crores during the event.

They further informed that the inaugural function will be held at 10.00 am on 21st June 2024 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. They informed that Ganapathy P Rajkumar, MP, Coimbatore has agreed to be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the fair. Dr.K.V.Srinivasan, Chairman, ITMF has agreed to preside over the function and Rakesh Mehra, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, has agreed to be the Guest of Honour of the inaugural function. Besides, Presidents of various textile related Associations would be offering felicitations.
