Spotted Deer Rescued After Being Attacked by Dogs in Mettupalayam

In Mettupalayam near Palapatti, a spotted deer was rescued today morning after sustaining injuries from a dog attack. Officials are currently providing medical treatment.


Coimbatore: A spotted deer was injured early this morning when it was attacked by dogs near Palapatti, in the Anna Nagar area of Mettupalayam.

Locals who witnessed the injured deer entering the town caught it and informed the local forest officer, Manoj Kumar.

Responding swiftly, the Forest Department officials rescued the deer and transported it to the Sirumugai veterinary for medical treatment. The incident has raised concerns about wildlife safety in areas close to urban settings.
