Schools Across Tamil Nadu and Coimbatore Reopen After Summer Break

After the summer vacation, over 20,000 schools across Tamil Nadu, including government, government-aided, and private institutions reopened today. The schools in Coimbatore welcomed students with various cultural events.

Coimbatore: Schools throughout Tamil Nadu and in Coimbatore reopened today after the summer vacation, a reopening slightly delayed due to the General Election results announced on June 4.

Typically, schools resume on the 1st of June; however, extreme heat in some northern districts pushed the date further to June 10, as announced by the Department of School Education.

In Coimbatore, various schools organized artistic performances to welcome the students back. After a substantial break, the excitement among students was palpable as they returned to meet their classmates. At St. Francis School on Trichy Road, female students dressed in flower-like costumes greeted their peers, distributing sweets and boosting morale.

Some schools had teachers playing drums and singing songs, creating a festive atmosphere to greet students. This red carpet welcome filled the students with joy, marking a celebratory start to their new academic session.
