Coimbatore: In recognition of World No Tobacco Day, a significant health awareness event was held at the Periyapodhu Primary Health Centre yesterday, May 31. The session focused on educating the public about the dangerous health impacts of tobacco use.

Healthcare professionals Dr. Krithika, Dr. Seethalakshmi, and Dr. Sivadas presented insightful details on the consequences of tobacco products. The event was attended by medical supervisor Chellathurai, along with public health researchers Arunachalam, Gokul, Sarath, and Shanmugapriyan, who contributed to the discussions and engaged with the community members present.
