Family Alleges Man Beaten to Death by Private Hospital Staff in Coimbatore, Police Investigate

The family members of the victim who have lodged a complaint at the Peelamedu police against KMCH Hospital and the staff are staging a protest in front of the Coimbatore GH claiming discrepancies in the FIR.


Coimbatore: The family members of a man named Raja, a resident of Gandhinagar in Coimbatore, have alleged that Raja was assaulted to death by the security guards and staff at KMCH hospital while he visited the hospital for treatment last night.

According to Suganya, the victim's wife, Raja visited KMCH hospital last night for treatment. Alleging an attempt of theft of iron railings, he was grievously assaulted by the security guards and staff at the hospital. After Raja fell unconscious, he was admitted to the hospital, where he passed away.



Suganya also reported that three individuals claiming to be police officers came to her house, took photographs of her, and informed her of her husband's death only after she confronted the hospital administration.

Seeking legal action against the hospital management and the staff involved in the alleged brutal assault, Suganya, along with her relatives, lodged a formal complaint at the Peelamedu police station.

Acting upon the complaint, police, led by Deputy Commissioner Stalin are. conducting an intensive investigation. Initial reports indicate that 11 individuals, including guards and administrators of the hospital, are being questioned.

Presently, the family members of the victim are staging a protest in front of Coimbatore Government Hospital, accusing discrepancies in the FIR.

The incident of a man being beaten to death within the premises of a prominent private hospital has caused a significant stir.
