Weekly Special Train Between Coimbatore and Mangalore Announced

A weekly special train will run between Coimbatore and Mangalore to facilitate the return of individuals post-summer. The train will operate on Saturdays during June.


Coimbatore: To accommodate the post-summer travel rush, the Salem Railway Division has announced a weekly special train between Coimbatore and Mangalore. This special service will facilitate easier travel for individuals returning to their hometowns after the summer season.

The train, numbered 06041, will depart from Mangalore Central at 9:30 AM and arrive in Coimbatore by 5:25 PM on June 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, all Saturdays. Conversely, train number 06042 will leave Coimbatore at 10:15 PM on the same dates, reaching Mangalore the next morning at 6:55 AM.

The route includes stops at significant stations such as Kasaragod, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Ottapalam, Palakkad, and Pothanur, providing access to multiple locations along the way. Passengers are advised to make reservations in advance to secure their journeys on this special train.
