Coimbatore City Corporation Commissioner Inspects Drainage Cleaning and Infrastructure Developments

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected drainage cleaning near Perks School, Trichy Road and a new small bridge at Lanka Corner to facilitate faster water runoff.


Coimbatore: M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, conducted on-site inspections today (24.05.2024) at two pivotal municipal projects aimed at enhancing urban drainage and infrastructure.

The Corporation Commissioner first visited the drainage system near Perks School entry gate on Trichy Road in the East Zone of Coimbatore Municipality, overseeing the ongoing cleaning operations. He urged the personnel to complete the work swiftly to prevent waterlogging.



The inspection continued to Lanka Corner within the Central Zone, where a new small bridge, equipped with drains to expedite rainwater disposal, was recently installed.



The Corporation Commissioner reviewed the completed work and instructed officials to ensure swift execution of road improvements in the area. Supporting him were city chief engineer Anbazhagan, operational engineer Hemalatha, and assistant engineer Satheeskumar among other relevant municipal officials.
