Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Drainage Works at Lanka Corner

On May 21, 2024, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS visited Lanka Corner to inspect rainwater drainage and ready-made small bridge construction works.


Coimbatore: In an effort to address the persistent waterlogging issues, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran IAS inspected drainage projects and the construction of a ready-made small bridge at Lanka Corner today.



This inspection is part of the municipal efforts to enhance infrastructure and prevent flooding in the area.



The Corporation Commissioner also visited the area underneath the Avinashi Road flyover, closely monitoring the progress of the rainwater drainage operations. He instructed the officials to ensure the complete removal of stagnant water and to expedite the ongoing drainage works.



During his field visit, M. Sivaguru Prabakaran was accompanied by Engineer Karuppasamy, Assistant Engineers Satheesh Kumar and Vimal Raj, among other municipal officers. Their collaborative effort focuses on swiftly resolving waterlogging issues at various municipal locations to improve conditions for local residents.
