Vanathi Srinivasan Requests Special Train Service for Vaikasi Visakam Festival

Vanathi Srinivasan requested Southern Railway to arrange a special train from Coimbatore to Tiruchendur for the Vaikasi Visakam festival on May 22, 2024, to accommodate the influx of devotees.

Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan has approached Southern Railway with a special request for the upcoming Vaikasi Visakam festival, a significant religious event that sees heavy participation in the Tiruchendur region.

She emphasized the need for augmented train services from Coimbatore to Tiruchendur to manage the expected increase in pilgrims during the festival. Vanathi Srinivasan highlighted that the existing train logistics might not suffice for the surge in attendees and stressed the importance of additional transport arrangements to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for all visitors.

She has proposed that a special train be scheduled on May 22, 2024, specifically designed to accommodate the large number of devotees traveling to the festival. This would not only provide relief to the regular train services but also enhance the travel experience for many pilgrims, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their journey.

In her communication to the railway authorities, Vanathi Srinivasan acknowledged the challenges of arranging special train services and expressed gratitude for the consistent efforts made by Southern Railway in addressing public transportation needs. She hopes that this request will be met with positive consideration, reflecting the community's needs and contributing to a successful religious gathering.
