This morning, a very thoughtful gesture was exhibited by the Coimbatore Press club as the members of this club distributed free buttermilk to the public who were mostly petitioners at the Collectorate.
Not only the petitioners but also passersby, auto drivers and public also utilized this free facility. As every Monday is the grievance day at the District Collectorate hundreds of people throng the place for filing their grievance on various issues. And, with scorching temperatures up to 102 Fahrenheit the public at the Collectorate appreciated this gesture of the Press Club.
District Collector T.N. Hariharan inaugurated the butter milk facility, this morning. 'Taking into consideration the extreme heat wave conditions prevailing in the city, we thought of providing free buttermilk at the Collectorate to the public, who are mostly petitioners. Close to 600 liters of fresh curd has been used to prepare 600 liters of buttermilk. And, we are happy that people are benefited out of this' shared a member of the Press Club.
