Coimbatore to Jodhpur Special Fare Holi Festival Train Announced

Indian Railways introduces a special fare train between Coimbatore and Jodhpur for Holi, operating every Thursday from March 14 to April 4, 2024, and returning every Sunday from March 17 to April 7, 2024.


Coimbatore: In celebration of the Holi festival, Indian Railways has announced a special fare train service between Coimbatore and Jodhpur. The service aims to facilitate travelers during the festive season, ensuring they can reach their destinations to celebrate with family and friends. The special train will commence its journey on March 14, 2024, and will run every Thursday at 02:30 early morning from Coimbatore until April 4, 2024, making a total of 4 trips.

The return journey from Jodhpur will start on March 17, 2024, with the train leaving every Sunday at 07:30 pm (19:30) until April 7, 2024. This initiative is part of the Indian Railways' effort to accommodate the surge in passengers during the festive period.

The train will cover a comprehensive route passing through various key stations including Renigunda, Kacheguda (Hyderabad), Nizamabad, Nanded, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Surat, Vadodara (Baroda), Ahmedabad, and Marwar.

The special train is equipped with a total of 18 LHB coaches to provide a comfortable journey to its passengers. It comprises 4 third AC 3 Tier coaches, 7 third AC economy coaches, 1 second sleeper coach, and 4 second class unreserved coaches, catering to the needs of different travelers.

The introduction of this special fare train is expected to be a boon for many who are planning to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors, with their loved ones in and around Jodhpur. Passengers are encouraged to book their tickets well in advance to avoid the last-minute rush.
