Karpagam College's MBA Students Enhance Research Skills at Manipal University, Malaysia

MBA students and faculty from the School of Management Studies at Karpagam College of Engineering visited Manipal University College, Malaysia, for a two-day workshop on research tools from February 23 to 24, 2024. The event, attended by over 200 participants, focused on practical skills in utilizing various research tools.


Coimbatore: In an impressive display of international collaboration, first-year MBA students and faculties from the School of Management Studies at Karpagam College of Engineering embarked on an educational journey to Manipal University College, Malaysia. From February 23 to 24, 2024, they participated in a comprehensive workshop designed to enhance their research capabilities.

The two-day event was a collaborative effort between the School of Management Studies, Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore, India, and Manipal University College, Malaysia. It brought together over 200 participants, including faculty, students, and research scholars from both India and Malaysia, under the theme of practical learning and skill enhancement in research.



Dr. Adi Negara Lutfi Abas, Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipal University College, Malaysia, served as the resource person for the workshop. The sessions were aimed at empowering the attendees with hands-on experience in utilizing a variety of research tools. These tools are essential for conducting effective research and were demonstrated to aid the participants in their academic and professional endeavors.



The workshop also featured a special address by Dr. M.R. Vanithamani, the Organizing Chairperson of the event and Director of the School of Management Studies at Karpagam College of Engineering. The session underscored the importance of practical skills in research and highlighted the collaborative nature of the workshop.



Dr. V.Kumar Chinnaiyan, Principal of Karpagam College of Engineering, along with the management of Karpagam Groups, lauded the initiative and efforts of the organizing team. They recognized the significance of providing students with global exposure to research tools, which is instrumental in fostering a comprehensive understanding of research methodologies.

This international workshop not only facilitated knowledge exchange but also strengthened the academic relationship between India and Malaysia. It marked a significant milestone in providing students with a global perspective on research practices, enhancing their skills, and preparing them for successful careers in their respective fields.
