Income Tax Department Conducts Raids at Ellen Industries and Green Field Housing in Coimbatore

The Income Tax Department's raided Ellen Industries and Green Field Housing in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Today, the Income Tax Department launched a series of raids at the residence of Vignesh, owner of Ellen Industries, situated on Balasundaram Road, Coimbatore. Vignesh, who holds the position of chairman in SIMA, is reportedly being investigated for tax evasion issues.

In a parallel operation, the tax authorities are also conducting searches at Green Field Housing, a prominent construction firm near Kalapatti. The focus is on their properties in Karumathampatti and Kovilpalayam areas. These raids are part of an investigation into alleged irregularities in land purchases for housing construction, hinting at potential tax evasion.



Additionally, officials have reportedly taken an employee of Green Field Housing for further questioning regarding these matters. These raids indicate a significant move by the Income Tax Department to address and scrutinize financial discrepancies in key businesses within Coimbatore.
