Coimbatore Vizha: Spectacular laser show with musical fountains held in Coimbatore

This evening, a laser show along with musical fountains was held at Valankulam in Coimbatore. Coimbatore District Collector G.S. Sameeran and Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan inaugurated the function.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Vizha, which is celebrated annually, will be celebrated from January 4-8.



This year, on the occasion of the 15th Coimbatore Vizha, a laser show with musicla fountains was held today.



On November 24, Coimbatore district collector G.S. Sameeran and Corporation Commissioner Prathap inaugurated the event.

On the occasion of the 15th Coimbatore Vizha this year, 15 special programmes have been organized, according to the organisers.

This includes marathons, science festivals, hackathons, concerts, art sessions, games and competitions.



With the show set to begin the day after tomorrow, this evening, a laser show with music at Valankulam in Coimbatore, Coimbatore District Collector G.S. Sameeran and Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan inaugurated the function. This laser show will be performed every evening from January 2nd to 8th in Valankulam. The show is open to public free of charges from 7Pm to 9:30PM. 



Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Sameeran wished everyone a happy New Year. Like the festival held in the village every year, the Coimbatore Vizha is held in the city areas, he said.

Various programmes will be held at the Coimbatore festival to bring together all cultures. The organisers of the event said that there will be a car show and an agriculture exhibition in particular.



At the laser show that followed, the spectacular colour laser lights reflected in tune with the music, much to the delight of the onlookers.

The main event of the Coimbatore festival, Street Art, will showcase the works of 70 artists. The Coimbatore Got Talent show will be a platform to showcase various talents, said the organisers of the event.

Other events scheduled for this year include Agri Next, Car Show, Chef's Blade, The Pitch, Para Sports and Isai Mazhai.
