Chinnaputhur is a village near Sencheripudur near Sulur in Coimbatore district. A large number of school students from this village on the Palladam-Udumalpet main road commute to schools in nearby towns..



Similarly, a large number of labourers also commute to Palladam, Udumalpet and other places for work. In this situation, there have been repeated allegations that buses going from Palladam to Udumalai do not stop at Chinnaputhur bus stop regularly causing inconvenience to the commuters..



It is also said that no action has been taken despite repeated complaints to the authorities concerned.



In order to draw the attention of the authorities, the public and students staged a road blockade on Palladam - Udumalpet Road this morning.

Sultanpet police, who rushed to the spot pacified the protesters after which they dispersed.
