Fire breaks out in a moving car near Palladam; lucky couple escape

A husband and his wife survived a fire that broke out in a moving car near Palladam in Tirupur district.



Tirupur: Subramaniam hails from Kanakkampalayam near Palladam.

He, along with his wife Rajeshwari, was on their way to Vadambacheri near Kamanaickenpalayam in a car to attend a funeral at a relative's house.

When the car approached near Kamanaickenpalayam, suddenly smoke started coming in the front.



Shocked by this, Subramaniam immediately stopped the car on the side of the road and got down in a hurry along with his wife and escaped unhurt.



The fire brigade rushed to the spot on receiving information and doused the fire.



However, the car was completely burnt and damaged. Police are investigating the cause of the fire. The incident created a sensation in the area.
