Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran releases draft voters' list

According to the draft electoral rolls, there are 30,14,972 voters in Coimbatore district, comprising 14,82,079 males, 15,32,354 females and 539 others.



Coimbatore: The draft voters' list was released by the Coimbatore District Collector at the Coimbatore District Collectorate on Wednesday, November 9.



Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran released the draft voters' list for Coimbatore district at the program which was attended by recognized political party leaders.



According to the draft voters' list released by the District Collector, Coimbatore district has 30,14,972 voters comprising 14,82,079 males, 15,32,354 females and 539 others. 30,177 new voters have been added to the list while 1,48,333 voters have been eliminated due to transfer, death, etc.

Also those whose names are missing in the draft voters' list and those who have attained the age of 18 years on 01.01.2023, 01.04.2023, 01.07.2023 and 01.10.2023 can apply to add their names to the voters' list.



Similarly, applications can be made for corrections and change of address, deletion of name in the entries in the draft voters' list.

These applications will be received from 09.11.2022 to 08.12.2022 on all working days from 10 am to 5 pm at all polling centres, all Electoral Registration Offices and Assistant Electoral Registration Offices. Also, applications will be received through special camps at all polling centers on four days - 12.11.2022 (Saturday), 13.11.2022 (Sunday), 26.11.2022 (Saturday) and 27.11.2022 (Sunday).

Form 6 to add name to voter list, Form 7 to delete entry, correction of existing entry, change of address within one Assembly Constituency and migration from one Assembly Constituency to another Assembly Constituency, and Form 8 to add name in new constituency should be used.

For addition, deletion and correction of names in the voters' list, applications can be uploaded through the website www.nvsp.in or through the Android application Voters' Helpline App.

Also, petitions can be uploaded through the website www.elections.tn.gov.in Online registration can also be done at Public Service Centers. The final voters' list will be published on 05.01.2023.
